Sweet Love
1988
It seems so long since I’ve been with you
I’ve tried so hard, I just can’t get through
Your love is branded on my heart, your memory haunts my day
You’re like an addiction and I can not get away
Please baby please
Bring it back to me
One more time tonight
I can’t go on
If it’s right or if it’s wrong
You know it feels so right
I don’t want to steal your hopes
Or shatter all your dreams
Baby I just want your sweet love
Living day by day still wishing you were mine
Living life on a clock with no hands, losing track of time
Please baby please
It’s so unfair to tease
Help me make it through the night
We’ve got so much to share
So come on if you dare
Don’t give up on the fight
I don’t want to waste your time
If that is all that it seems
Baby, I just want your sweet love
Running on ends with you is such a twisted game
Im either walking proud or left standing in the rain
Our love is a reflection shattered in a picture frame
You're the lion in the jungle babe, and I am out to tame
My good buddy Jason, excellent guitar player, and I were attempting to write an awesome 80's glam-rock number. There is no deep meaning to this song. Unless you consider rocking out to ripped up pantyhose over spandex pants, big hair, and awesome stage moves "deep" .. then this would be so deep! Party on!
